So it’s Prom Time in our fabulous city of Toronto. Yes indeed, I remember my prom…it was the height of 90210 (the first time) and looking for that prom dress that looked close to both Kelly and Brenda’s on their prom night. Ugh…I can’t even think about it. Let’s say – black dress, chiffon sleeves, satin bodice and a big satin bow on the front of the dress from Dalmy’s (RIP). Yes – horrific. The best part I thought I looked amazing. That was 1991.
The good news is that prom fashion has evolved. Oh yes. These days we have Forever 21, H&M, Charlotte Ruse and even The Bay is bringing their game. The dresses are so inexpensive and they actually look cute but with a dash of attitude.

The dress is a Turquoise sleeveless satin mini number (vintage), jewellery courtesy of Icing (http://www.icing.com/index.asp) and Heels from Craze. The kitten’s name is ‘Skittles’. The look is clean, sweet but also has an urban fun edge. It’s a perfect fit for a late June night and comfortable enough for dinner and dancing. Girls, you only hope you can do it like this.
