Phantogram: Mouthful of Diamonds

Thank you to a mystery person for bringing them to my life.   

We were running late when they performed at Lolla and thus missed out large.  I can say they are one of those bands I have listened to once and have fallen in love.  Hard.  Lolla brought me so many new ‘love affairs’.  My heart feels so full.

They often describe their sound as “street beat, psych pop”.  They are  inspired by artists like J Dilla, Madlib, Cocteau Twins, The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth, Yes, The Beatles, David Bowie, John Frusciante, Serge Gainsbourg and Kevin Shields.

This video is from Lolla.  I wish I saw him.  It was pissing down with a torrential rain storm and I was standing under a tree getting more and more soaked in a sun top, mini skirt, straw hat and kicks.  Good times.
