eBay Seller Spotlight: Vintage Eyeglasses Online

I don’t really need to wear eyeglasses all of the time – but I like to wear them at work mainly because I’m on a computer all day.

For years I’ve been rocking the vintage geek chic eye glasses look.  I usually have 2-3 frames on the go which I rotate.

In the past I have always found cool frames on eBay.  This time around I really wanted something a lil more classic, edgy, cool and yet timeless.  Tall order?  Of course, it’s me!

I found a seller by the name of ‘egamon’ who has not only an eBay shop but also his own eyeglass and frame website appropriately named Vintage Eyeglasses Online www.vintageeyeglassesonline.com

I got it into my head as you do a few months ago that I wanted a pair of Tart Arnel’s.  Oh you know those amazing frames that Johnny Depp and Rashida Jones have been busting out all over town.  Very clean and very geek chic.  The price?  Oh yeah…hmm $499 – $999 CAD.

But when I looked on Vintage Eyeglasses Online I noticed the prices and selection were stellar.  Not only were they authentic Tart’s but also a plenitude of sizes to choose from.

At Vintage Eyeglasses Online offer unique, vintage eyeglass frames for both men and women…ideal for prescription or sunglass lenses…at very competitive prices.  You can find Plastic Frames, Metal Frames, Gold Filled Frames, Cat eye Styles, Jewelled Frames, Combination Frames and Sunglasses.  Other brand names they carry include of:  American Optical, Bausch & Lomb, Ray Ban, Imperial Optical, Kono, Liberty Optical and Marine Optical.

I didn’t have loads of money to spare being on a Youth Worker’s budget ;) – so I opted for three frames that ran me just under $100 CAD from eBay.com.  3 Frames for under $100 CAD!  Now if you buy from his website it maybe a lil bit more if you don’t play the eBay game.  For me – I’m always looking to save cash – see what feels right for you in the moment.

Think of the mark up you are paying for one pair of frames from an optical shop.  Now the key here is to know your size people and thus you can not only save money but find the right frame size for you.  Look on the right or left side of your eyeglass frames and you will see 2 or 3 numbers e.g. 46-20.  If you see this, that is your eyeglass frame size.  Capiche?

The shipping as a head’ up is quite affordable too from Vintage Eyeglasses Online.  I didn’t even get charged any duty.  The frames came impeccably packaged too from NYC.

I encourage you not to feel any trepidation buying from this seller.  The communication was always on point, service perfection and the goods – all quality.  I’m planning on rocking these frames for a few years and buying some more.  Tell Mr. Greenberg I sent you. ;)

Verbena Mint Organic Tea

Verbena Mint Organic Tea

I’m starting a new lil feature on Thirty Four Flavours dedicated to enjoying tea, coffee and finding time in your day to honour a hot drink ceremony while being present in the moment.

Let’s start the first ‘Tea Break’ feature with a tea from Mighty Leaf Tea.  ;)

If you are looking for some tea that’s a neat lil pick me up to your afternoon ‘dip’ pick up a stash of Mighty Leaf’s “Verbena Mint Organic Tea”.  It’s gorgeous.  ;)

Relax and renew with Verbena Mint Organic after a long day or curl up with your favourite book and a cup on your last break of the work day or lounging on your couch on the weekend.   It pairs well with buttery pastries and chocolates too.  Who doesn’t have a stash of chocolate tucked in their cupboards?

The origins of this tea is from France and Morocco.  Bien sur.  Can you imagine transporting oneself abroad whilst savouring the verbena and mint combo?

Yours in tea,

Mel xo
