Toronto’s big vintage marketplace returns to Exhibition Place. For two days only, Canada’s largest vintage clothing show along with Toronto’s edgiest antiques market offer a massive array of vintage clothing along with amazing antique one-of-a-kind pieces. The Toronto Vintage Clothing Show and the Toronto Antique & Vintage Market can be found under one roof in the Queen Elizabeth Building at Exhibition Place, Saturday March 4th from 10am until 5pm and Sunday, March 5th from 10am until 4pm.
“These days, it’s easy to buy cheap vintage/antique reproductions online”, says Show Manager Catherine Knoll. “But our clientele aren’t the type to buy knock-offs. They value authentic purchases.” Whether it’s vintage clothing or antique décor, participating vendors find their stock the hard way. “Yes,” laughs Knoll, “they’ve rolled up their sleeves and spent countless hours scouring through auctions, estate sales and private sales. Pretty much everything on the show floor has been handpicked from one of those sources”.
With prom season and wedding bells just over the horizon, Knoll adds that she’s particularly pleased with the show’s wide array of classic prom dresses from the 50s and 60s along with an excellent collection of vintage bridal gowns.
