Ticket Giveaway: The Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s ‘Beethoven Symphony 7’: Chan Ka Nin: Sesquie for Canada 150 (Friday May 26, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.)

Renowned TSO Conductor Laureate Sir Andrew Davis leads a globe-trotting program that includes the famous of all Norwegian concertos, pauses in the USA for an Impressionist interlude spotlighting the Orchestra’s esteemed Principal Flute, and concludes in Vienna with Beethoven’s most exhilarating symphony.

Friday and Sunday’s running time is approximately two hours. Saturday’s concert will run approximately 90 minutes and will not include intermission. On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring and Poem for Flute and Orchestra will be performed on May 26 and 28 only.

Chan Ka Nin: My Most Beautiful, Wonderful, Terrific, Amazing, Fantastic, Magnificent Homeland: Sesquie for Canada’s 150th [2′]

Delius: On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring [4′]

Grieg: Piano Concerto [30′]

Griffes: Poem for Flute and Orchestra [9′]

Beethoven: Symphony No. 7 [36′]
