DJ Lina Bradford

Born and raised in New York City, Lina Bradford studied modern ballet, tap and jazz and performed in several companies throughout NYC. Those same moves she learned in rehearsals became a part of her signature style when she began her DJ career 18 years ago. From DJ of the year to Lifetime Achievement awards at the Glammy and Sage Innovator, DJ Lina can now be seen hosting the biggest private parties from NYC to Europe.

Carole Pope

On the 2016 Polaris Prize short list, Carole Pope is an agent provocateur pushing the boundaries of sexuality, sexual politics, and the status quo, making you think and dance at the same time. Her work has been recognized with three Juno Awards, multiple independent music awards, a Genie Award and four gold, one platinum, and one double platinum album.

DJ Jayemkayem

Jayemkayem has quickly established herself within the city’s nightlife scene. Whether she’s holding down nights at some of the West End’s hippest venues like Apt200 and Libertine, or hosting her semimonthly radio show on independent station TRP, she’s constantly spreading good vibes and good times with her eclectic selections that span the genres of hip-hop, R&B, grime and UK garage.

Discover the connections between family, photography, and migration with The Family Camera, an exhibition that explores how family photos shape our sense of self, family, community, and nation.

Art, Honour, and Ridicule: Asafo Flags from Southern Ghana

This new exhibition takes a historical and contemporary look at Asafo flags. These flags are the insignia created for the numerous military Asafo companies of the Fante states along the coast of Southern Ghana. Historically, Asafo companies were in charge of the safety and protection of the local community as well as warfare. Today they act as the vibrant core of local communities. Their flags depict narratives of pride, wisdom, and defiant messages to enemies and are sacred objects depicting the spirit and history of a company.
